Surrounded by peaceful landscape, the historic Bendooley Estate lies between Sydney and Canberra in the picturesque NSW’s Southern Highlands, a region renowned for its lush pastoral scenery and dramatic seasonal beauty.
Bendooley Estate is a perfect place to relax and unwind with family and friends. Enjoy lunch in front of the massive open fire in our atmospheric restaurant, within the iconic Berkelouw Book Barn. Or come by for a coffee and treat, before browsing our bookshelves, which are filled with thousands of new and old titles. Before you leave, make sure you sample our acclaimed wines at the cellar door.
We’re open seven days, from 9am to 5pm, with lunch served between 12pm and 2.30pm during the week and from 11.30am till 2.30pm on the weekends. (We’re closed, though, on New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.)
We also host wedding ceremonies—from intimate to extraordinary—in our established cool-climate garden, and receptions and private events in our magnificent lakeside pavilion and unique Book Barn, fully catered by our talented chefs. And we offer accommodation in what was the gatekeeper’s cottage, at the entrance to the property, with its heavenly valley and vineyard views.
